I've had a thing for Leslie Mann long before she started getting cast in the light that she deserved, sadly because it was her husband who recognized her greatness before others would. It's probably why people are eager to see what's going on in the lives of Pete and Debbie, the couple played by Paul Rudd and Mann in KNOCKED UP, soon to be featured later this year in the release THIS IS 40. Mann and her loving husband (I like seeing the two of them on red carpets together, they looks even more lit up next to each other - this is probably the only Hollywood couple that would cause me sadness to hear of a split) Judd Apatow, attended the 9th Annual Stuart House Benefit over the weekend, a charity event that helps to raise money with auctions (one things up for grabs was a private concert by Dave Matthews) and the proceeds of which go to the Stuart House, the UCLA rape treatment center.
Over $700,000 was raised for the center. “There are a lot of people here who have done well in life, and this is a great way to give back to things that you care about,” said Apatow. “I hope everyone, including people reading this, will open their wallets. This charity does such amazing work. They are so thoughtful, and it’s a beautiful place.” I like these people. I really do.
