I've read THE HUNGER GAMES novels a few times now, mainly because reading them is as pleasantly enjoyable as watching reruns of "The Big Bang Theory" when I have a little free time on my hands. I like the characters, I like the story, I even like the prose of the author. When it was first talked about being optioned and the diehards began arguing online over who was going to get cast in the roles, I hadn't read the books and didn't understand the fervor. But now that I am one of those diehards, I'm very pleased with the casting of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, one of the most inspiring young female literary characters in a long time. (As the kids might put it Katniss >>>>>>>> Bella.)
At the premiere of the movie the other night, Leven Rambin, or Glimmer, the female tribute from District One, showed up looking like a movie star herself. The 21-year old blonde might look familiar to you if you're a fan of short-lived television, as she played Riley on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." You know, the one who got John and Cameron into whole heaps of trouble? All I can say about her here is... DAMN. Looking Gooooooooood.
