I like Abbie Cornish. It might have something to do with her connection to the "Australian Actresses are Cooler by Default" unofficial club, but I think that this blonde gets far too little attention. She's held her own against powerhouses like Heath Ledger (she appeared with the late actor in 2006's CANDY) as well as proved she's more than just a pretty face by contributing her voice to the role of Otulissa in LEGENDS OF THE GUARDIANS. She's just one of the ingredients in the SUCKER PUNCH hottie gumbo, turning on the action babe qualities for her role as Sweet Pea. Yet for many of the People magazine readers who don't venture outside of the huge studio releases and whirling vortexes of hype, she's still widely referred to as the chick that Ryan Philippe moved on to after Reese when Cornish filmed STOP-LOSS with him. Which is a pity because she's talented in addition to being one of those silent beauties. (Along the lines of Gretchen Mol, ya dig?) Abbie recently posed for GQ Magazine and while only the first image here was used, a few other outtakes have popped up, proving that once again, the outtakes are regularly better than the final project.
