It seems like Christina Ricci has been undergoing a process of refinement over the years. We've seen her change a lot from the child star she was in the beginning. Avoiding the fate of many of her fellow child actors who soon found themselves relegated to a drunken, D-list career once puberty took hold, Christina took the road less traveled, preferring roles in smaller indie films that allowed her to stretch her abilities as an actress. That's given her a lot of street cred in Hollywood and opened many doors to her career.
Taking a look at these pics for her spread in Angeleno magazine, you get a sense that all that development and growth over the years has made her a confident person. She's not the kind to wallow in the mud with the tabloids. She seems like someone who knows who she is and doesn't have a lot of time to mess about. That's my kind of woman.
