When I was growing up, I had a subscription to Seventeen magazine that my mom ordered for me. I recall very little of what the magazine was dedicated to, other than showing tips on how to apply mascara properly or what colors were supposed to match your skin tone when deciding on outfits. Looking at the April 2011 cover of Seventeen now, I'm discerning that not much has changed about the publication, other than having 18-year old Nick Girl Victoria Justice smiling cheekily from its cover. The girl sticks out her tongue a lot and seems to be conveying the message to young girls that you can be goofy but only if you're a really pretty sort of goofy. Wonder if there are any articles in there about how to obtain natural beauty after birth.
