I understand that most of you are simply ga-ga for Zooey Deschanel
and based on the quality of this photoshoot she did for Marie Claire magazine, I can see the appeal. The problem is, I've taken the time to watch all of her movies. Where she was initially quirky and at times deliciously vulgar (my favorite role of hers was that in THE GOOD GIRL), she also falls back far too commonly on being the "adorkable" chick. It's paying off with her new Fox sitcom, however, as "New Girl" is getting good ratings and a solid fan base tuning in and lavishing it with praise as if it was a NBC production. I have no desire to watch the show. In my eyes, it hasn't been marketed well, making it appear as if it would be the kind of show I'd cringe trying to watch. (And trust me, I love me some Kat Dennings like you wouldn't believe, but I did about 2 episodes of "2 Broke Girls" before politely dismissing myself to the restroom for some hearty dry heaves.)
