It's great to see Ming-Na Wen break out of her often too-serious red carpet expressions as the actress goofed around on the red carpet at PaleyFest 2014 with "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" co-star Clark Gregg. The pair obviously have a good friendship and working relationship to look so sly and casual next to one another, especially knowing that they would probably be grilled as to the future of their show.
While I gave up on watching, there have been plenty of fans who've held on tight and were highly anticipating some information from the cast at the annual broadcasting "summit," if you will. What was gleaned from the talk? Well, producers are insisting that audiences tune in on April 1st and 8th, when the show will incorporate its tie-in to CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.
Wen also discussed at length the possible familial connection between Agent May and Skye, including which godly Marvel character she believes should be Skye's papa. Brett Dalton, the show's sexy male eye candy, might not have a long IMDB resume but the actor has admitted to attending (though it's unclear if he graduated) clown college. Elisabeth Henstridge has been lobbying to have her tech-savvy character Jemma get screen time with Loki, with Gregg teasing her that her screen time with the handsome villain would likely turn out differently than his did.
Most importantly, Gregg was emphatic that if the fans are happy or unhappy, they needed to speak up. "In my experience," he said, "Marvel listens to the fans." There you have it.
