I recently figured out something in a very unusual manner. I was flipping through an issue of US Weekly about a month ago and they highlighted a show called "Awkward." that was to start airing on MTV, touting it as being one of the smarter shows the network has put out in its scripted line-up. So for shits & giggles, I checked it out. Turns out that gossip rag was onto something because I'm suddenly seeking out the channel to watch that wacky half hour and I'm even happy to find myself surfing onto its reruns. I had no idea that the 30-year old former music channel was doing anything cool. That doesn't mean that I think their promotional tool, something called "10 on Top" sounds interesting to me, but they did manage to get Victoria Justice to bring her cute self to it, so that makes whatever it was worth it. But I still miss cheesy music videos with no production values.
