For the record, Katy Perry is a pop sensation right now, with many people proclaiming that her sound is manufactured just as poorly as something Britney Spears would put out. But the girl can play guitar, writes her own lyrics and did the dirty work in SoCal to get noticed (Perry hails from Santa Barbara, CA). Rather than strutting around in a tight sparkly bikini singing about "Gimme Gimme," she wears weird retro '80's bright colors and sings, "If you want me, I'm not a piece of ass, a one night stand, a storage shed.... If you want me, then stop begging, I don't put out for charity."
You can be an asshole and hate homosexuality all you want, but it's not going to go away. And I guarantee that most homosexuals are handed their golden ticket to the heaven of their choice for what they have to put up with from certain people. As for Katy Perry, she's pop, but it's slickly painted over a message to girls that they mean more than people keep forgetting to tell them they do. Call it diva-esque if you want, I think that rocks.
