There were glitches on the docket for the unveiling of Airtime yesterday, Sean Parker's new not-so-brainy child (you might recall that Parker is the dude behind Napster, so famously and popularly played by Justin Timberlake in THE SOCIAL NETWORK) which is supposed to allow online phone conversations or something or other. I don't know much of what it's about and after the app failed to perform while a slew of celebs awkwardly played along with the problems, I'm not sure I care to know. Imagine having the money to pay a list of people like Jim Carey, Ed Helms, Martha Stewart, Joel McHale and Olivia Munn
help debut your product and then force them into a corner where they're apologizing to the crowd of internet bloggers for why things are crashing and burning. OK, so maybe Munn showed up for free, but those other people had to have gotten a pretty penny.
