So y'all catch the Super Bowl? Did your team win? Or were you like me and didn't give a shit which one of them won? Honestly, it's like the same 4 teams every year. Sure, it's great for folks in Boston or New York or the couple other cities that make it every year, but the rest of the planet tends to find itself feeling somewhat left out of the excitement. It was a pretty good game though. So at least there was some entertainment value. The shitty commercials certainly weren't helping. I think the multi-million dollar airtime fees are starting to cut into the creative potential there.
But anyway, back to business. Why the hell didn't they have Katy Perry, seen here at some Super Bowl after party, do the half-time show, instead of decrepit old Madonna? I mean, which decade is this? Or rather, what century? Millennium? This woman left behind the best part of her career 20 years ago. Let's see some modern day hotness up there. It's not like Katy doesn't know how to put on a show and look good doing it. She can even do it without the risk of her teetering down the stage in a geriatric daze.
