Rachel Weisz has a spread in August's Vanity Fair, as well as a leading role in the upcoming BOURNE sequel/remake/reboot/reimagining or whatever it is, playing a virologist who does...something in the movie. I'm not going to say that this movie is bad, because I haven't seen it, so I don't know. It's got Rachel in it, so whatever flaws it may have will be limited to things outside of Rachel and her exquisiteness. I'm always thankful when movies return a sublime hottie like Rachel back to my local cineplex. Still, having just come back from the new Spider-Man movie, I'm not feeling all that great about these seemingly unnecessary pseudo sequels and too soon remakes - particularly when they're not really doing anything new with the story, like the new Spider-Man movie. Literally the exact same story plays out in this one as the Toby Macguire version, with a few minor exceptions. I got the feeling it was a totally pointless remake when I saw the trailer, and after seeing the movie it was indeed totally pointless. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the tickets. This new Bourne movie seems to be at least trying to switch it up by expanding the story with new characters and whatnot. Still, the cash-grabbing is quite evident here in both movies. I really like the Bourne movies, so I hope this new one is good. At the very least I can enjoy Rachel.
