You know I have to bring this up, because it IS relevant.
THE HOST is a movie that was made from source material from that same woman who brought the love to love or love to hate series, TWILIGHT to bookshelves and movie screens. One might say that you can take the pre-Meyers movie reputation into account on both this movie's star,
Saoirse Ronan and the other series' star,
Kristen Stewart and say that they were both poised for potential greatness. I'll concede that Ronan definitely had the upper hand there, but Stewart was nowhere near the loathsome creature that the general public seems to have turned her into. And I look here at Ronan and wonder - is she going to be supported and defended for her blank expressions here? Will people rush to her side and claim that she's not used to the attention, that she's nervous, that she's pretty even if she doesn't smile? I wonder these things. My implant chip is on back order.
