It shouldn't come as much of a shock to you that I don't watch the ABC Family program "Pretty Little Liars". When I want to watch a show about corrupted youth, I go all-out and watch the "Teen Mom 2". I did once attempt to watch an episode of "Liars", due to its reputation for having hot twenty-something actors playing teenagers, but my attempt failed rather quickly. I haven't been less engaged by a program since Ashley was visited by Aunt Flo on "Degrassi: The Next Generation". While the show itself may not be my cup of tea, I still find myself appreciating the hot actresses involved, like Shay Mitchell for instance. For one thing, I respect that she's an actress, and not some reality-TV diva type. In the series of novels which the show is based on, 'Emily Fields' is described more by her physical beauty than anything else, so I can see why they picked Shay for the part. Also, in the novels she's described as bi-sexual, and on the show she's simply a lesbian. Much of the premise revolves around a love triangle between Emily and her three female friends. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any of this in the 10 minutes I watched, but you can bet I'll be keeping my eye out for the climactic underpants pillow-fighting episode.
