When Robert Rodriquez first announced that never-ending list of projects he intends to complete, including MACHETE KILLS and MACHETE KILLS AGAIN, there was actually no hesitation in my mind that he was 100% serious. Still, there is plenty excitement to be had just watching the shindig come together, with the apparent presence of such friendly faces as Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. One addition to the cast that had me hooked is Sofia Vergara as “the leather-clad Madame Desdemona, whose Mexican harlots have information that Machete needs." How can you go wrong with that? Well, I suppose anything's possible until we get a glimpse of her attire, and now that we have it, I'd say the flick is headed in the right direction. Any direction that gets Vergara's sexy legs in fishnet stockings is a right one. If only that voice of hers came with a remote. Don't get me wrong, Columbian accents are beautiful, but if I'm ever watching Modern Family I find myself turning the volume down during her parts so my elderly neighbors don't call the police.
