Did everyone have a kick ass New Year's Eve? I sure did. A lot of people like to start off the new year with a midnight kiss with a significant other, and that includes myself, if a French bull dog qualifies. As much fun as making out can be, it's not nearly as fun to watch others do it (this is why I hate romantic comedies). Unless, of course, you're watching two hotties in the act. Who doesn't love it when two beautiful actresses exchange saliva on the big screen? Girl on girl tonsil hockey has had a recurring role in cinema since the '80's (see THE HUNGER) and is still present on the big screen today (see AMERICAN HUSTLE). Let's take a look at some of those moments now, shall we?
This one may be boring if you're not a fan of criminally underrated hotties, but I get a cheap thrill out of watching Brittany Snow and Sophia Bush lock lips with one another. One of the worst mistakes I've ever made was paying full ticket price to see the shit tornado that is JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE, but these mere seconds almost made it worth the while. Almost.
Leave it to drunken seat-fillers at the MTV Movie Awards to chant the word "Kiss!" long and annoyingly enough for Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson to finally give in to each other. The thing I love most about this gif is how eager and excited ScarJo looks to be trading lip gloss with the Academy Award-winning actress. The moment didn't last to long, but hey, it still happened. Just let that sink in.
#6: Eva Longoria and Kate del Castillo (WITHOUT MEN)
Here's one for all you Eva Longoria fans, just in case you thought you'd never see the desperate housewife hop on that experimantal sex wagon again. Here she is doing just that with Kate del Castillo in WITHOUT MEN (that title tells all). I actually don't know much about this movie, but this steamy love scene is well worth the watch by itself, and doesn't feel phony in the slightest. I guess she's been around the block.
If you've even had the urge to see Buffy the vampire slayer mack on Hellboy's girlfriend, you sir, need to see CRUEL INTENTIONS. Hell, see it anyway, it's really not half bad. It's got a cool nineties soundtrack, pretty teenagers, cocaine, and as much awkward sexual manipulation/borderline incest as on can handle. Just goes to prove not every movie with a girl on girl kissing scene has to suck.
You remember what I just wrote about about every movie with a girl on girl kissing not having to suck? Well, that doesn't go for THE LEGEND OF AWESOMEST MAXIMUS. It's just another straight-to-dvd, National Lampoon-produced stinkbomb. However, it does feature love connection between two low-key hotties, Sophie Monk and Kristanna Loken (you may know her better as the cyber-babe from TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES). Needless to say, I own this movie now.
I wouldn't feel right leaving out this scene from JENNIFER'S BODY, but it's more because of my undying love for Amanda Seyfried than Megan Fox. The universe has pretty much agreed they're both gorgeous, and as proof, it brought these two fin young ladies together to bring Diablo Cody's f*cking weird screenplay to life. At least it was a little more tongue-in-cheek than JUNO. Get it? Tongue in cheek? Whatever.
Of course, in the context of Darren Aronofsky's BLACK SWAN, this scene isn't quite as exciting. However, when you look at the technicalities of it, it's still Natalie Portman passionately making out with Mila Kunis! There's something I never saw coming : Jack Burkhart and Princess Padmé going out to the club, rolling on E, and heading back to mom's place to get it on in front of an audience of stuffed animals. Wait. Did that actually happen? Hmmm...
#1: Neve Campbell and Denise Richards (WILD THINGS)
A debate went on in my head before deciding to give this, uhm, "classic" scene from WILD THINGS the #1 spot. Sure, neither Neve Campbell or Denise Richards are really all that relevent in the world of movie hotties today. At the time, however, this was one of the most talked-about moments in film, and was glorified by movie fans/perverts for several years after. There's a reason Richards is famous in the first place, and it's not just for dating Charlie Sheen. And to honest, the scene does make one pretty damned fine gif.
