It perplexes me how Vivica Fox has seemingly disappeared from the big screen. I fell in love with this shapely delight as a teenager in her BOOTY CALL, SOUL FOOD, and SET IT OFF days. She was beautiful, oozed sex appeal and had vicious Coke bottle curves. My puberty owes her a drink for her contribution towards my development as a Man, but that’s a story for another day. These days, Vivica seems to be stuck in direct to DVD hell with Wesley Snipes and Cuba Gooding Jr. She had a brief resurgence by having Tarentino nab her for KILL BILL: Vol 1 and later landed a good role on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. However, since those gems she’s been headed directly to Redbox for .99 cents a night (ouch).
Regardless of her career, Vivica seems to have inherited Dorian Gray’s painting, as she looks even more delectable in her mid-forties. Dimewars posted a photo shoot from the yet to be published ‘Today’s Black Man’ magazine, and it makes me hope Vivica takes the Marisa Tomei route and bares all for an independent movie one of these days (getting naked for an award is always classy).
