Zooey Deschanel doesn't give a shit what I think.
OK, so maybe my name didn't come up in the interview that the "New Girl" star did with Elle magazine, in their February 2014 Women in TV issue. Still, it felt as if she was addressing me. "Plenty of people say, 'Oh, she only does this one thing,' but usually because they've only seen 'New Girl,' and yeah, that's what I do on 'New Girl,'" says Zooey.
Hey, let's get this straight. I've never watched the show. I feel that way about the whole of her movie career. However, I'm no Prince. Seriously, I'm not Prince, that PURPLE RAIN little man who loves "New Girl" with such a passion that he's bringing his reclusive self to its self for a guest stint in February.
This has helped lend feelings of power to the younger Deschanel Fox show sister. "As an actor, you have more power in television than you in film. Maybe I say that because I'm a producer on my show, but you definitely get into the process a lot more." And because producers don't push the stars to reach, I suppose we'll have to wait and see if Zooey directs to see if she changes her old song and dance.
