Bio / Info
Anna Paquin might best be remembered as the 11 year old girl who won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1993 for her role as Holly Hunter's daughter in THE PIANO. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada but raised in New Zealand for most of her childhood, Paquin began her acting career with a voice role in the English version of the animated film CASTLE IN THE SKY. She caught onto the fanboy base when she was cast as Rogue in the X-MEN series of films and has been a regular in independent movies where she was fishing for edgier acting opportunities to set her apart from her child actress personality. In 2008, Paquin was cast as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's vampire soap opera "True Blood" and garnered a lot of attention for the salacious storyline and her frequent nudity. She became engaged to Stephen Moyer, her co-star on "True Blood" in 2009.
