The Australian born actress first wanted to go into ballet, beginning at the age of 15 before deciding to drop out and pursue acting instead. She began her acting career on the television show "Beastmaster" in 1999, moving on later to the teen alien drama "Roswell" in 2000. After a couple of years on that show, De Ravin kicked around television in smaller roles until being cast on the popular series "Lost" in 2004. She then landed roles in movies such as the 2006 remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES, PUBLIC ENEMIES and the 2010 romantic drama REMEMBER ME opposite Robert Pattinson. In 2006 she married fellow actor Josh Janowicz, separated from him in 2007 and then later claimed that the two were still married.
