Bio / Info
Prior to being picked up in the middle of the 2005-2006 season of "Saturday Night Live," the most that Kristen Wiig had to her resume was a stint as 'The Quack' on "The Joe Schmo Show." Fast forward to her small role in Judd Apatow's 2007 smash hit KNOCKED UP and you have yourself right in the middle of a reality sketch you could call "Wiig's World!" Holding up many of the lame comedies that she's in with her trademark dry yet raunchy delivery, Wiig earned herself a place in Apatow's "Frat Pack" of male actors that he uses regularly, having been the only woman besides Leslie Mann to have appeared in as many movies as he's been attached to. During the 2008-2009 season of SNL, Wiig appeared in more skits than any other cast member and was named one of the top 15 Great Performers of 2008 by Entertainment Weekly. In July of 2009, Wiig was nominated for an Emmy for her work as a cast member on SNL. Once her contract with the sketch series is up, she plans on relocating to London, England. Wiig has 7 projects currently in postproduction and set for 2010 releases.
