Bio / Info
The youngest sibling born to a South Carolina family, Mary Louise Parker became interested in acting when she was a teenager, going on to major in dramatic arts when she was in collage and starting off on the stage after graduation. She headed many productions, including being featured in such shows as "Long Time Companion" and "Prelude to a Kiss" in the late 1980's before getting some recognition on the silver screen in such early '90's movies as GRAND CANYON and FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. Parker became romantically involved with fellow actor Billy Crudup after the pair worked together on a stage production in 1996 and infamously split when she was 8 months pregnant with his child in 2003. After becoming a mom, Parker's career started to take off on the small screen, with a reoccurring role on the hit show "The West Wing," and a headlining role on the popular cable show, "Weeds."
