When the comic version comes to life, Thor's father Odin should be regal and intense, with instantly recognizable authority and visible signs of legendary experiences.

Kenneth Branagh has cast the screen veteran as the Asgardian king in his big-god feature THOR, giving the project an added level of respectability (in case Natalie Portman as the mortal love interest wasn't enough for you).
The Marvel movie starts shooting in January, with relative newcomers Chris Hemsworth as the Thunder God and Tom Hiddelston as his foster brother and archenemy Loki.
The official THOR synopsis from Marvel Studios: "This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment.
