David Arquette casts ER’s Abraham Benrubi as the lead in Glutton 3D

You cats remember a project called GLUTTON 3D we told y’all about in March, the psychological thriller David Arquette is directing from a Kenny Yakkel script? Yeah yeah, that one. Well, looks like Arquette and Remember Dreaming Prods. have found their leading man!

According to Variety, ER alum Abraham Benrubi (seen right) has been cast in GLUTTON 3D as a bedridden man named Jethro, who is forced to save his sister’s life. The film has been drawing comparisons to Rob Reiner’s exquisite 1990 film MISERY.

About the casting of Benrubi, here’s what Arquette had to say:

“I’ve always been afan of Abraham’s work and I’m thrilled to be working with him on Glutton…His kind nature and the honesty from which his acting comes is perfect for the role of Jethro.”

For the ER uninitiated, Benrubi has meandered from TV and film his whole career. He’s recently lent work in “Robot Chicken,” “Memphis Beat,” “Happy Town” and has LAWLESS and TO KILL A MEMORY in post and pre-production. However, to me he’ll always be the hulking brute from “Parker Lewis.”

GLUTTON 3D starts production in Canada this July.

I love me some Patty Arquette!
