What's it about
DreadCentral.com front-man and Michael Madsen look-alike, Sean Clark leads horror fans on a whirlwind journey through some of horror’s most hallowed grounds (ie: he visits famous filming locations) all-the-while waxing-nostalgic and dropping anecdotes and informative little bits of trivia.
Is it good movie?

My girlfriend and I are currently planning a trip up to the small northern town of Smithers BC to check-out some of the castoff sets and filming locations from John Carpenter’s The Thing (my favorite film of all-time) and seeing Sean Clark’s little horror-fan-travelogue Horror’s Hallowed Grounds has really got my geek juices racing.

In this inaugural installment of Horror’s Hallowed Grounds (hope, hope, fingers crossed, and all-that-jazz that this becomes an ongoing thing) we find series mastermind Clark trekking around most of Pasadena, California visiting the sites and sets from John Carpenter’s unholy slasher-classic Halloween – and shit-howdy is it ever a blast! Nearly everything is included here, from The Strode house to Haddonfield High to the cemetery and even the front gate of the infamous insane asylum from the start of the film…it’s all here, and it’s presented with so much care and attention to detail and unrepentant flat-out geek-love for the genre that you’d be hard-pressed not to get a charge out of it. Horror’s Hallowed Grounds is an awesome concept for a show, and one that I can see having no end; there are thousands-upon-thousands of memorable and recognizable horror movie sets in the US and Canada that fans would slit a few throats to visit, but with Horror’s Hallowed Grounds…they might not have to.

Last Call
Horror’s Hallowed Grounds is exactly the kind of show horror fans need! The only real downside to the show (with regards to this installment at least) is that at 15 minutes…it’s just too damned short!
