With a slap of humor, my question was answered: more of the same. And when we're talking more of the same being more nudity and more disgustingly gory violence, that's not necessarily a bad thing! With a cast of mildly likable slutty teens (who look like they're in their late 20s), a hard-as-nails bitch of a nun who uses her ruler as a weapon (and who comes off as cool in the final act), and a wise cracking (and ugly) villain who isn't the least bit scary, the enjoyment of this movie came right down to the basic key elements of imaginitive gross-out gore and ample nudity... hey, it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, but it sure is entertaining as hell!
The obvious goal behind this flick was to have fun, show off some sweet gore effects, and give the viewers a taste of some T&A, which it did and then some. Not to say there wasn't some style tossed in there from time to time (like the creepy demon snake and the malevolent 'demon-vision', though arguably a rip-off of EVIL DEAD), but overall it wasn't about style or anything else, it was about gore F/X and nudity. And you can't really falter a movie for trying to accomplish that, now can you?
Least to say the other factors (story, acting, etc...) were lacking big time, but really... what do you expect? Oscar performances? Or how about a pair of boobies that would like nothing more than to shake your hand? If you're expecting the later, you won't be disappointed.
Note: the exploding by sunlight scene in the end, and the squirt gun/water balloon artillery used against the demons echoed a lot like some key elements from FROM DUSK TILL DAWN... yet NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 2 was released a full 2 years earlier. Hmmm....
Audio: 2.0 Stereo... not the greatest, but it wasn't bad either.
