What's it about
A dude in a rubber space monster suit runs around disintegrating people, and sometimes mixes it up by eating their intestines. Meanwhile local law enforcement tries to deal with a bumbling mayor while figuring out how to take the "monster" down. Oh, and the world's worst sex scene happens in the middle of it all.
Is it good movie?
I'm always happy to check out a Troma film, but there's a world of difference between the ones they made themselves, and the ones they bought from other filmmakers. Unfortunately this is the latter. I know that the late director Don Dohler has his fans, but based on this painful watch, I can't really say why.

Pretty much everything from start to finish is a mess in this film. Bad acting, bad creature costume, bad cinematography, bad editing, bad music. About the only thing that kinda works is the gore f/x which are decent enough to merit some praise.

Now I've certainly enjoyed plenty of bad films in my time, but the problem here is that it's not a fun bad. It's a boring one. This is so chock full of padding that it could easily come in at half the run time, and even then would probably be tough to sit all the way through.

Which brings us to the sex scene that could turn you off of sex for some time. In the middle of being chased by a space monster and tending to an injury, our Sheriff (who looks like Norm MacDonald doing his Burt Reynolds impersonation) gets far too naked while getting it on with his super tan deputy who decides that she needs a shower in the midst of all the carnage. It's notably unpleasant to watch.

Unless you're having a live MST3K night, I'd avoid this at all costs.

The Extras
Director's Commentary: From what I understand this is the only commentary Don Dohler ever did. For fans this probably is worth the price of admission on its own.

Homemade trailer: Exudes the same high quality of the film itself.

Gag reel: Kind of redundant, the whole damn film is a gag reel.

Troma extras: A host of offerings like "How to rip an arm off" and "Make your own damn movie". Entertaining enough, but since they have absolutely nothing to do with the film at hand they don't really add any value to the purchase.

Last Call
I want to clarify that this film is not worth your time. Often a bad review makes a film sound like it's something you should check out for the schlock factor, but that is not the case here. I had to force myself to keep the damn thing on past the 10 minute mark. Setting aside the surprisingly competent gore work, there's really no need to ever speak of this again.
