What's it about
Poor recent air-conditioner repair school graduate, Paul Tard. Not only have his friends dis-invited him from their awesome "hooker party", but the dude then ends up getting electrocuted in the bathtub. However, an evil devil chick offers him a chance to exact some sick freakin' revenge before his soul leaves this world. And YOU get to help him do so by answering some horror movie trivia!

Is it good movie?
Don't be fooled by the rather cheesy-looking DVD cover box. This little flick, albeit low-budgeted, is packing some fairly effective laughs! There's even the added bonus of some fun horror movie trivia before each little "sex & death" vignette. Sure, it's mostly all potty humor with happy tinges of porn, but it really works nicely. Plus, all actors (should I say "actors"?) involved are totally in on the joke and do an efficient to excellent job on their deliveries whether it involves taking it up the ass or dishing out death.

The directors of this flick/game definitely did a good job in selecting their horror ho's/actresses. Each tattooed temptress was perfectly skilled in terms of titillation technique. Their comedic timing wasn't bad either (way better than the dudes in the flick). And it should come as no surprise that Ms. Tiffany Shepis is by far the best of the bunch (and she's the only one who doesn't get fully naked). It should also be noted that Katie Nisa does a fine job as the evil devil girl initiating all the madness. Aarom Takahashi is passable as well as geeky Paul Tard.

Of course, SLUMBER PARTY isn't entirely an ass-slapper of a good time. There really isn't much in terms of a plot once the inital set-up is exposed. The final two-thirds of the flick is literally one bedroom scene after the next where a hooker first tempts a dude and then ends up bringing on the blood. It's pretty enjoyable at first, but soon becomes annoyingly repetitive. Some of the kills are fun and inventive, though the special effects are definitely on the low-budget end.

As for the whole "game" aspect, it really isn't much of a game. You are just asked a horror movie trivia question before each bedroom scene. If you get it right, you move on to the scene. If you get it wrong, you just select another answer till you get it right and then move on to the same scene. I would have liked it better if the next scene you saw depended on which answer you gave. But I guess that may have been a little too complicated for a low-budget movie. And not to get technical, but the party isn't exactly a "slumber" party. However, because of Ms. Shepis's little dance, I'll let it slide.

The Extras
An excessively dull and boring short film called THE TUNNEL, directed by Ramzi Abed.

A bunch of silly, porno-esque trailers from the same distribution company.

Last Call
Despite its low-budget flaws and repetitiveness, SLUMBER PARTY still earns strong points for the surprisingly solid laughs and above average performances. There really are some genuinely funny lines and scenarios. And I did enjoy the horror trivia. Let's just hope if there's ever a sequel, the game aspect is amped up higher.
