What's it about
While traveling across country with her fiancÚ, Beth wakes alone in an isolated clinic to a mother's worst nightmare. Just how far will she go to save her child?
Is it good movie?
Poor Beth. All she wanted to do was get to her Mom's place with her husband-to-be and spend Christmas with him. Instead, when they decide to stop at a motel Beth goes missing while her husband gets arrested, frantically trying to find out where she went.

Of course, this is only the beginning of the horror as Beth awakens in an abandoned warehouse to find that her unborn baby has been removed and stolen. Before long, Beth realizes that she's not the only one- someone is stealing babies and leaving colored tags as clues.

This movie is pretty badass and doesn't suck. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it isn't too heavy handed, sports some good performances and a theme that is pretty terrifying no matter who you are. Andy Whitfield and Tabrett Bethell shine in their roles as hero and heroine, although Bethell is the meat of the film and while she isn't perfect, she's believable and has a lot to carry. She is undoubtedly a woman transformed by tragedy and pulls it off pretty well.

The film isn't a nasty gore party, but that isn't necessary anyway. It should also be noted that a lot of characters might seem to be acting strangely, but that's partly because this is one of those films that relies a bit on a twist ending. I didn't love the twist, but I didn't totally see it coming so I must dish some props. I guess the ending just left me asking "what about this" a few times. If you love everything being wrapped up in a nice package, keep trucking.

The Clinic isn't a popcorn movie. It's pretty serious tale that will grab you by the throat and dare you to watch. I was undoubtedly gripped throughout and appreciated the slow but deliberate pace. On top of this, the fact that something like this could actually happen is enough to send shivers down one's spine.
Video / Audio
Video is presented in 2.35.1 anamorphic widescreen and looks pretty good, with sharp colors, and good flesh tones.

Audio comes in Dolby 5.1 and is pretty well mixed although a little front-heavy at times. Good enough.
The Extras
No real extras, just a trailer.
Last Call
The Clinic is worth your time if you don't mind investing yourself in substance over style. It won't make you shriek in gory terror but it will likely have you on the edge of your seat. I recommend it.
