30 Days of Night 2 director Ben Ketai chosen to adapt horror novella Hush

Can you guess how many HUSH entries IMDB currently has? And here comes another...

Ben Katai, the guy who gave us 3O DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS, has been chosen by FuseFrame Media to adapt E.M. Blomqvist's horror novella HUSH to the silver screen.

According to Amazon, HUSH centers on:

A group of broke college students who start a phony “ghostbusters” type business in order to make some extra cash and find success scamming the elderly residents of the town; however, they fall into trouble when they’re hired to de-ghost an old orphanage that is genuinely haunted and still occupied by a decrepit headmistress with a disturbing past of her own.

As interesting as that setup sounds, these types of flicks are multiplying by the minute. Therefore, it'll have to work extra hard to distinguish itself. Maybe getting Blomqvist to adapt the script himself would be a good way to maintain the voice of the piece. This Ketai cat writes a bit too, so my guess he may end up penning HUSH when all is said and done.

More when we hear it...

DARK DAYS star Diora Baird!

Extra Tidbit: This will be the 39th HUSH movie added to IMDB.
