Fuck that noise. Found footage movies suck.

There is no need to destroy what little integrity Jason Vorhees has left by forcing him to be in a found footage movie. Found footage films are practically dead, with the past few only slightly breaking the $20 million mark (or even as low as $7 million for the really bad ones.)

They need to leave Jason alone or bring him back with style. No more homeless guy living underground.

I'm totally down for this idea ...

... but only if BUSTA RHYMES is starring as the same character he played in Halloween Resurrection. If you're going to make a travesty, may as well do it right!

I think a found footage film would be terrible for this franchise.

Maybe found footage for the first act and the second & third act we let Jason do what he do best.

This is a terrible idea. Found footage wasn't good to begin with. Now it's completely unbearable. Unoriginal idea, lazy and cheap. If this is where F13 is going, then put the series out of its misery.

No

I haven't read anywhere that someone "prefers" that they go the found footage route. I've only heard people be in favor of it simply because it will mean another Friday is made. It is no Friday fan's first choice... but the studio still says f*ck you, we're making it, because you're all suckers. That is reason enough that none of us should give in and see this movie. Let it bomb, because they don't give a shit about us. Don't give them your money, they are pissing in all of our faces at this

There is a reason why reboots like The Hills Have Eyes, I Spit on your Grave, Last House on the Left, Evil Dead (which I didn't like, but didn't feel stabbed in the heart by) have been more well received, and it's because the people who re-made them actually gave a shit about the source material, and were making movies with horror fans in mind. The Friday and Nightmare remakes are soulless and forgettable turds, with shit acting, bland directing, and predictable clichs galore.

That's not saying that the originals had great acting, but they created horror icons, and made those directors legends. These characters deserve more than being thrown into whatever format is on the backburner for these studios. I bet you the screenplay was written years ago without Friday in mind, and they are just throwing Jason in there hoping to get our dumb asses in the seats.

The franchise needs to go away. It was a product of the 80's and it needs to stay there.

Anything to breath new life into this dying series is fine by me, just anything but what they did with the first remake, which sucked to me. I personally liked the whole idea of a winter setting more, which they mentioned awhile back. Either one could be thrilling and fun if it's in the right hands.

I can't stand found footage films. It was a bad idea when The Blair Witch Project did it and it's only gotten worse since then.

The franchise needs a shot in the arm badly. A found footage film if done right could be just the ticket.
