The hype machine keeps on going for Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, but who’s complaining? You might have already seen the cool character posters and the badly photoshopped one-sheet earlier this week, but now we’ve got a fresh buttload of media for you to check out. First up are the two new TV spots for the flick, which fortunately aren’t just recut footage from one of the trailers and are actually pretty batass. Get it? Bat… ass… ’cause it’s Batma… sigh, yeah, I know, terrible. Moving along, there’s the fresh batch of images courtesy of Batman-news. Nothing earth-shattering there, but still, any chance I’ll get to see Anne Hathaway in that skin-tight suit and Tom Hardy glaring maniacally from under that mask – I’ll take it. When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Josh Stewart, Matthew Modine and Juno Temple. The Bat returns to theaters on July 20th.
