Abraham Benrubi and Cindy Better added to James Gunn’s The Belko Experiment

Nostalgic for the days when casting news for THE BELKO EXPERIMENT used to flow onto writer/producer James Gunn's Facebook page like blood from an arterial wound? Sure, we all are. That's why I was heartened to see that, while checking in from the set in Bogota, Colombia, Gunn managed to sneak in the names of two more cast members.

We already knew that John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, Melonie Diaz, John C. McGinley, Sean Gunn, Owain Yeoman, David Dastmalchian, Gail Bean, Valentine Miele, Steve Agee, Josh Brener, David Del Rio, Stephen Blackehart, Rusty Schwimmer, James Earl, Brent Sexton, Mikaela Hoover, Joe Fria, and Benjamin Byron Davis were going to be in the film, which is about an

American company in South America that is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a workday, its employees are ordered to kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belko employee.

The new additions to the list are Abraham Benrubi, who may be best known for playing Jerry Markovic on 137 episodes of E.R., and Spanish actress Cindy Better. This appears to be her English language feature debut.

Gunn has since departed from Colombia, but director Greg McLean and the film's small army of a cast remain behind as filming continues. I can't wait to see what the end result is going to be like.
