New GI JOE TRAILER and one sheets!
GI JOE TRAILER 2!
Arrow Addition: I know everybody is shitting on the upcoming GI JOE THE RISE OF COBRA and once again I am in the minority in thinking it looks like a blast and a a half. From what I've seen so far, its all I could've asked from a film based on the GI JOE cartoon (which I am a big fan of). Anyways, we got the SECOND TRAILER for GI JOE - check it out above AND our evil Stepfather site JoBlo.com has collected a bunch of new GI JOE one sheets from across the Net - you can see them here! NOTE: Looking for a mature and violent GI JOE cartoon? See GI JOE RESOLUTE - IT OWNS!
WANTED 2 in the works
I can't get too excited about the prospect of a WANTED 2, but I do get excited whenever I think of, or see, or dream about, Angelina Jolie. When I think about that scene in WANTED, when she gets out of the bath and you see her back and all that? I get giggly like a teenage girl. So the prospect of another one, which may feature Jolie's slender backside once again, tickles me. (She is rumored to be involved with the sequel even though her character didn't fare so well in the first one.) Looks like things are moving forward quicker than we expected...
According to director Timur Bekmambetov, production will be ready to begin later this year: “In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed... The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia”.
Screenwriters Chris Morgan (FAST & FURIOUS) and Evan Spiliotopoulos (no shit - POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE) have been working on the script for a while... In addition to Jolie, Bekmambetov has said he's considering bringing back the character of "The Exterminator", played by Konstantin Khabenskiy.
New RED DAWN cast and writer
The remake of John Milius' 1984 semi-classic RED DAWN is heating up, assembling its cast while at the same time retooling - or maybe just polishing - its screenplay. Entertainment Weekly just recently broke the news that two more young good-looking people have joined "the wolverines": Josh Peck (taking over Charlie Sheen's role, and looking pretty 80s below) and Adrianne Palicki (in the Jennifer Grey role). They join Chris Hemsworth (STAR TREK), who is filling Patrick Swayze's shoes. Peck was last seen (I think) in last summer's THE WACKNESS, and Palicki is a mainstay on the critically acclaimed t.v. show "Friday Night Lights".
The other piece of news concerning the flick is that Tony Gilroy - script doctor extraordinaire - has come aboard to rewrite the screenplay. Gilroy has tapped out lines for dozens of films - some of the more notable being the BOURNE trilogy, THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, and MICHAEL CLAYTON, which he also directed (and got Oscar-nominated for). RED DAWN is currently set for a September 2010 release.
UNDISPUTED 3 pics
I guess I was unaware that UNDISPUTED has become a franchise, but here we are with pics from UNDISPUTED 3 starring ROUND-UP favorite Scott Adkins. Adkins was just in WOLVERINE as Weapon XI, but he's also getting press for the upcoming can't-beat-the-title action flick NINJA.
Not sure what UNDISPUTED 3 is about, but I'll take a wild guess and assume Adkins gets shipped off to some kind of Eastern European prison camp where he's forced to partake in brutal ultimate fighting bouts? Just an educated guess, mind you...
The first UNDISPUTED, by the way, starred Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames, and Peter Falk. Another educated guess: None of those people will be appearing in UNDISPUTED 3.
Thanks to Nik for the pics!
