From the Expendables Set!

THE EXPENDABLES is filming right now in New Orleans, and one of the local papers had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to hit up the set of the movie and chat with Sylvester Stallone and company about the film, and what we can expect.

From the description of the explosions, bullet shells, and the ginormous set, this puppy is sounding cooler and cooler by the minute. But have you ever stopped to wonder how THE EXPENDABLES came about? Stallone answers:

This started out as a dark comedy; it started out as a satire. Then we thought, 'Let's make a really hard R' -- then I go back. It constantly was being just brutally changed. It wasn't until a week before filming that I said, 'Let's just make it this kind of movie.'

Hell yeah. That's what I'm talking about. The full report from the set is not to be missed, and will surely pump you up even more for what's to come. To check that shit out, including talks of a possible sequel to the yet-to-be-finished film, click HERE, and keep it close for all of your EXPENDABLES updates!

Japanese GI JOE!

The Japanese trailer for GI JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA hit this week, and all is looking well with this biotch. Action, violence, CGI armor suites, more action... could this be what the lazy days of August is demanding, or just another run-of-the-mill effects film? We'll find out soon enough... but in the meantime, check out the new trailer below and go nuts!

New INGLORIOUS Poster!

Here it is, folks. The (final?) poster for INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, rockin' a sweet tagline (A Basterd's Work is Never Done) and a killer image of Brad Pitt holding an AK-47 while standing on top of a mountain of dead Nazis. What more do you need?

In other BASTERDS news, apparently Quentin Tarantino addressed the reports that the film will need to be trimmed by more than 40 minutes by laughing, then adding 1 minute to the Cannes' cut, and calling it a day. The theaterical cut for BASTERDS will now run 2 hours and 29 minutes. Sweet jesus!

Can't wait for some INGLORIOUS BASTERDS in theaters everywhere August 21st!

Remo Williams to the big screen!

Action-adventure novels are a dime a dozen these days, and surprisingly enough, they all have a ton of potential to be rockin' movies. Mack Bolan the Executioner comes directly to mine, but there are others that will likely see the theater first. Like Remo Williams.

According to THR, a movie adaptation of the Remo Williams adventure THE DESTROYER is now in the works with mega-producers Charles Roven and Steve Chasman on board, and writers Charley and Vlas Parlapanides penning it for it's big-screen debut. But will it be worth our time? Just check out the synopsis:

Williams, a New Jersey cop convicted of a crime he didn't commit, is sentenced to the electric chair, but his death is faked so he can be reborn as the vigilante character the Destroyer, joining a top-secret assassin squad set up by the government to operate outside the bounds of the law. With the help of an Asian assassin named Chiun, Williams also then wreaks havoc on the criminal underworld as well as on those who framed him.

'Nuff said.

KILL YA NEXT WEEK WITH MORE ACTION!

GI JOE

The thing with me and GI JOE is, I don't think it actually looks "good", but I can't wait to see it anyway. It'll be a blast. (I just hope it's more THE MUMMY and less VAN HELSING.)

Basterds

Aldo's not holding an AK-47. It looks more like an M3, an American submachine gun more commonly referred to as a "grease gun".
