The original ONG BAK blew me away. While I had seen some impressive martial arts movements in cinema before, nothing had prepared me for the awesomeness that is Tony Jaa. Now Jaa is back, not only starring but directing the anticipated sequel, which promises “even more impressive martial arts wizardry than its predecessor.”

I don’t know about that, but these new images and poster are pretty cool!Watch for ONG BAK 2: THE BEGINNING in theaters October 23rd, in the meantime… enjoy the new pics and kick some serious ass!

Basterds/Eagles Trailers!

Are you getting pumped to see Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS? I know I sure am. Only a few weeks left to go. To hold us over, there’s a few trailers out now featuring Tarantino raving about a couple of classic action films from the 70s: INGLORIOUS BASTARDS and EAGLES OVER LONDON!

Not only is the man gushing over both of them, but he’s presenting their trailer to you for your viewing pleasure. Do not disappoint. Grab a beer and a plate of nachos, and check out these two trailers. If you’re like me, you’ll want to go out and rent these badboys as soon as possible! Now get ready for INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS in theaters August 21st.

Command Performance trailer!

There’s a brand new trailer out now for the Dolph Lundgren directed action / rock-n-roll hybrid COMMAND PERFORMANCE, and it’s everything you’d expect from Lundgren playing a rock star who also knows how to kick a lot of ass and blow shit up.

What I dig about this flick is the originality of it all. Some could say DIE HARD, PASSENGER 57, and UNDER SIEGE with a rock-n-roll twist, and I’d have to agree… but I wouldn’t call it a bad thing. Plus, Lundgren flippin’ directed this thing! I can’t wait for November 3rd for my chance to check it out on DVD. In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer below!

The Hunted gets director!

Anytime producer Gale Anne Hurd is involved with a project, specifically an action movie project, I’m immediately interested. Such is the case with THE HUNTED, the new action flick she’s involved with that just landed its hot new director.

Marvel Comics artist Kaare Andrews has signed on to direct the flick, which goes a little something like this: “The Hunted” is the story of an assassin in his 20s who is hired to kill a young girl but refuses to complete the contract. In choosing to save his intended target, he is on the run from her bodyguards, his own organization of deadly killers and the man who trained him. The hunter himself becomes ‘The Hunted’.

Kick-ass, yo! Since Andrews is an artist, we can only assume the visual palate for THE HUNTED is gonna be awesome… even if the final product isn’t. No stars have been attached as of yet, but with a killer premise and Hurd on board, I can only imagine what big names are gonna want to be apart of this! Bring on THE HUNTED!
