Actress Lili Taylor the latest to join the Eli Roth/Netflix collaboration Hemlock Grove

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Ever since HOSTEL II Eli Roth has been pretty picky with his projects, no? I mean what was the last thing the guy worked on? You see what I mean? While Roth remains one of the biggest names in the genre he really isn’t doing much directing wise. Producing on the other hand, is a different story.

One project Roth has coming up in the producing department is the Netflix series “Hemlock Grove.” Now we’ve been keeping you updated regarding “Grove” for a while now and today we’ve got more casting news from the series to pass your way.

According to TV Line the latest name to join the project is the lovely Lili Taylor. You may not recognize Taylor from her name alone but if you glance to the right you’ll find a shot of her, and I can almost guarantee you’ve seen her in something. Chick is everywhere. The actress will have a recurring role as a Gypsy mother in the series.

“Hemlock Grove” starts with the body of a young girl, mangled and murdered in the shadow of the former Godfrey steel mill. Some suspect an escapee from the White Tower, a biotech facility owned by the former steel magnates. Others believe the killer could be Peter, a 17-year-old Gypsy kid from the wrong side of the tracks, who tells his classmates he’s a werewolf. Or it could be Roman, the arrogant Godfrey scion, whose sister Shelley is disturbingly deformed and whose mother, Olivia, the otherworldly beautiful and controlling grand dame of Hemlock Grove.

As the crime goes unsolved and outlandish rumors mount, Peter and Roman decide to find the killer themselves, confronting unspeakable truths about themselves and Hemlock Grove as the mystery unfolds.

Along with Taylor “Hemlock Grove” also stars Landon Liboiron, Bill Skarsgard, Famke Janssen (below), Dougray Scott, Freya Tingley and Penelope Mitchell.

Things on “Hemlock Grove” should be rolling soon and when they do you can bet we’ll be right here to tell you about them.
