Adrien Brody sees dead people in the Backtrack trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The last we heard about writer/director Michael Petroni's psychological thriller BACKTRACK was back in April, when it was being picked up for U.S. distribution by Saban Films. Saban Films has yet to announce a release date for it, nor does it have a date set in its native Australia, but its Australian distributor Madman Films has dropped a trailer online to try to help us get through the wait.

Starring Adrien Brody, Sam Neill, and Robin McLeavy, BACKTRACK centers on

troubled psychotherapist Peter Bowers (Brody), who is suffering from nightmares and eerie visions. When he uncovers the horrifying secret shared by his patients, he is put on a course that takes him back to the remote hometown he fled years ago. There in False Creek he is consumed by solving a decades-old mystery that holds the key to his strange and menacing delusions.

The trailer makes it out to look like a solid thriller that I would very much like to see, so hopefully we'll be hearing some details on its release soon.
