Amazon’s Zombieland has landed their Tallahassee in Kirk Ward

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Amazon’s upcoming ZOMBIELAND series has finally cast its Tallahassee with THE ISLAND actor Kirk Ward taking over the role popularized by Woody Harrelson in the hit 2009 film.He joins the previously announced Majara Walsh, Izabela Vidovic and Tyler Ross in the cast of central leads.

Interestingly enough, Ward might have been the first choice for the role from back in the day before ZOMBIELAND became a feature. Deadline reported that

“Reese and Wernick, who conceived Zombieland as a TV show, originally had Ward in mind for Tallahassee after meeting the actor while shooting the William Shatner-starring Spike TV limited series ‘Invasion Iowa’.”

The project, produced by Sony TV, is a continuation of the adventures of Tallahassee (Ward), Columbus (Ross), Wichita (Walsh), and her younger sister Little Rock (Vidovic) — four humans who band together to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Original ZOMBIELAND writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will pen the script for Sony Pictures Television, which is producing the Amazon pilot.

So there you have it. Kirk Ward is Tallahassee. Spit bullets below and let us know what you think of this casting.
