American Horror Story Season 3 details spilled by Ryan Murphy

Jan. 3, 2013by: Eric Walkuski

"American Horror Story: Asylum" returned from its hiatus with a bang on Wednesday; did you miss the cracked show? We sure did. But you'll forgive us if we're already looking toward Season Three of the demented series; our curiosity just gets the best of us sometimes. "AHS" co-creator Ryan Murphy was ready to spill a little regarding what we can expect from S3 to Entertainment Weekly - although of course he's still not willing to divulge very much at all.

"I dont think anything could ever be as dark as the mental health care system in our country," Murphy said regarding the tone of the upcoming season. "I sorta feel like for the third version I want to do something thats a little bit more evil glamour. Just something thats a little bit moreone of the things that I missed this season was I really loved having that Romeo & Juliet youth story with Violet and Tate. I want something like that again and were doing something like that in the third season. And were contemplating shooting the show in a different place. Were contemplating shooting it in a place in the country where true horror has been. Weve got lots of delicious plans."

Now we must put on our thinking caps and wonder what Murphy means; certainly the country has plenty of "true horror" sites. What do you think?

Extra Tidbit: Frankly, I got rather sick of the teenagers in Season One, so I hope Murphy doesn't put us through the exact same ordeal...

Love this show, was a little dubious they'd be changing story every year but I'm actually loving it. Can't wait for series 3, love the idea for the setting though have to agree the teens were the worst part of season 1, to the point I was disappointed when they announced Evan Peters would be back this year but he's doing a great job in a very different role.

First season was really good. This season has been boring. Hopefully season three is a bit more exciting.

I do think the show is a tad overrated.

American Horror Story's first season had me as an enthused and faithful viewer. I have skipped American Horror Story: Asylum after watching the first episode. Murphy and company are welcome to change story and location. I shall watch the show again. AHS takes lovely risks.
