Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We've got some quick acquisition news to toss your way today as Anchor Bay Films has acquired the rights to the award-winning film THE DEAD 2: INDIA, the highly-anticipated follow-up to the company’s 2012 release of THE DEAD. Written and directed by Howard J. Ford and Jon Ford, the film stars Joseph Millson in the critically-acclaimed epic zombie road movie. The company has acquired the theatrical, home entertainment, digital and VOD rights for the U.S. and Canada.

Set against the spectacular vistas and stunning scenery of Rajasthan, known as The Land of the Kings and one of the world’s first and oldest civilizations, THE DEAD 2: INDIA puts the Ford Brothers’ unique apocalyptic vision on a far bigger canvas in terms of breathtaking scope, thrilling action, death-defying stunts, emotional resonance and spine-tingling fright.

THE DEAD 2: INDIA follows the story of American engineer Nicholas Burton (JOSEPH MILLSON) in a race against time to reach his pregnant girlfriend Ishani (MEENU). Burton enlists the help of an orphan street kid Javed (ANAND GOYAL) and together they make a perilous 300 mile journey across deadly landscapes as a zombie apocalypse threatens to engulf the entire nation.

Look for THE DEAD 2: INDIA later this fall.
