Andrew Niccol's new sci-fi film changes from Im.Mortal to Now to In Time

Jun. 2, 2011by: Jake Dee

This is smaller news to be sure, but buried in a Variety article about Olivia Wilde (below) joining Bradley Cooper in a dramatic thriller called THE WORDS, a fascinating tidbit can be found. It seems Andrew Niccol's latest foray into the world of science-fiction has undergone another title change. Originally titled IM.MORTAL, then changed to NOW, Niccol's futuristic thriller is now being referred to as...IN TIME. Which of the three titles you like best?

Also set to star Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Matt Boner, Alex Pettyfer, Johhny Galecki and Vincent Kartheiser - IN TIME is:

Set in the not-too-distant future, where the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality.

Storyline follows a rebel from the ghetto (Timberlake) who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried).

Due October 28th, the flick is just IN TIME for Halloween (my apologies, that's just bad)!

Extra Tidbit: Who would you rather gallivant through the future with, Amanda Seyfried or Olivia Wilde?

Generic Title

Could the title be any more generic?!?! In Time...Now??? Jesus that's bad. IM.Mortal was a much better title. Storyline seems cool, like Logan's Run but with an option to live longer, altho I can't stand Justin Timberlake...Will need to see a trailer. Tidbit: Olivia Wilde by FAR!
