As we reported earlier this year, the new, two-part cinematic adaptation of Stephen King's IT is expected to be filming in Toronto from June 27th through September 6th with MAMA director Andy Muschietti at the helm.

Muschietti has confirmed that production started this week, sharing on his Instagram account a couple intriguing images from the set and production office, as well as a doodle on the cover of a notebook that may indicate what his vision is for the evil clown Pennywise.

Bill Skarsgard is set to play that character, leading a cast that also includes Jaeden Liberher as Bill Denbrough, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom, Wyatt Oleff as Eddie Kaspbrak, Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier, Jack Grazer as Stan Uris, and Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon.

King's novel was about

seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.

The plan is for the first movie to focus on Pennywise tormenting the characters listed above as children, with the second movie seeing them face off with "It" again as adults.

IT part one is set to be released into theatres on September 8, 2017, one year and two days after filming wraps.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how IT turns out! LOL! I do like the doodle of Pennywise though.
