Another TV spot & behind-the-scenes look at The Woman In Black are here

Although it looks wildly different than the original on which it’s based, it doesn’t seem THE WOMAN IN BLACK remolding will sully the Hammer namesake too badly. Yet another new TV ad and behind-the-scenes featurette for the film have been put out to prove this, and for the most part, I’m buying what they’re selling. Cop a peek below and see if you agree!

Directed by James Watkins, from a script by Jane Goldman (adapted from the Susan Hill novel):

The story follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps ( Daniel Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.

Shaun Dooley, Cathy Sara, Mary Stockley, Roger Allam, Liz White, Lucy May Barker, Tim McMullan, Alisa Khazanova, Daniel Cerqueira, David Burke and Victor McGuire can also be seen in the film.
