Last month we reported Dimension/TWC's SATANIC was moving forward. You remember-- it's a ROSEMARY'S BABY-esque horror flick to be directed by Oliver Blackburn (DONKEY PUNCH). Haley Bennett is set to play the lead, but reports are saying she may be joined by none other than Ashley Greene.
Greene was last seen in THE APPARITION, which got some pretty awful reviews. She's best know as Alice Cullen on TWILIGHT, which is what I'm guessing makes her a bankable star (beyond decent acting chops and good looks). SATANIC follows a group of college students who are attacked in their dormitory over Thanksgiving break, so we can assume she would play one of the friends if she signs onto the film.
The flick is supposed to start shooting New Orleans sometime this month. Among the non-Weinstein producers are David Kirshner (the CHILD'S PLAY series) and Corey Sienega (FRAILTY), so horror fans may be in good hands here. Check out the full synopsis below, along with Greene in a paint-on bikini because, well, that's sort of what we do here at Arrow in the Head. Enjoy!
The story follows a girl who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break when a random encounter with a gang of violent outcasts leads to target her as their next victim. To survive, she must conquer her deepest fears to outwit them and fight back.
