Bag of Bones Mini Series to feature Stephen King cameo?

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

We all know that Stephen King has form when it comes to making cameo appearances in film and TV adaptations of his books and stories (he’s done it 18 times to date).

Well, Sea And Be Scene is reporting, from a source quoting a production ‘higher up‘, that King will appear as a clergyman in A&E’s BAG OF BONES which is currently filming. This will be a two-part mini-series adaptation of his 1998 novel.

Synopsis from A&E: BAG OF BONES is the story of grief and lost love’s enduring bonds, an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. Bestselling novelist Mike Noonan, played by Pierce Brosnan, is unable to stop grieving after the sudden death of his wife Jo. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s lakeside retreat in western Maine where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather, the mysterious ghostly visitations, the ever-escalating nightmares and the realization that his late wife still has something to tell him.

BAG OF BONES stars Pierce Brosnan as Mike Noonan, Anika Noni Rose (below) as Sara Tidwell and newly cast Disney kid Caitlin Carmichael as Kyra Devore. Behind the camera directing is serial King film maker Mick Garris.

The series is shooting in Nova Scotia, until the end of next month, and is due to be broadcast in the last quarter of 2011.
