Baird drops horror

Looks like the experience of shooting THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING was a bit too much for the delicate constitution of hottie Diora Baird. In an interview with StarPulse she asserts that she’s done with the genre forever.

“I don’t want to be in that genre. I’ve now been offered quite a few horror movies, but I don’t want to do any more of that. ‘Texas Chainsaw’ will be my first and last, you can mark my word on that. I’m not a big fan of scary movies because they scare me. Plus, it’s a lot harder than you’d imagine. It’s a lot of emotional distress and work that I don’t ever want to have to go through again.

“I had a hard time breaking out of that character because everything was so realistic that I kind of got lost in it. I was scared for a long time. I had to go to very dark places.”

To each their own I suppose. For instance, looking at pictures of Baird makes me want to go to very dark places – well, one in particular – but let’s not focus on my stalker-ish obsession with kinky sex.

Instead we’ll take a moment to bow our heads and thank the heavens that we got her for even a brief shining moment. Sniff, sniff.
