Battleship scores another international heavily photoshopped poster

I honestly can’t muster up any excitement for Peter Berg’s BATTLESHIP, after all it was based on a board game and it looks like a TRANSFORMERS sequel.

It may turn out to be a fun film; I can’t really judge something I haven’t yet been able to see. The artwork for the film has been rather bland and heavily photoshopped, that tradition continues in this latest international poster that has shown up. It really doesn’t do anything to sell the film, and I have to wonder whether it will bring in strong box office numbers with marketing this poor.

Peter Berg (HANCOCK) produces and directs Battleship, the epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval combat game and starring Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna, Asano Tadanobu, and Liam Neeson.

The battle begins on May 18th!
