Behind-the-scenes look & Tim Burton intro for Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I highly doubt either of these will top what my man E.Dub brought to you earlier today regarding Timur Bekmambetov’s ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER – but for all you who want to know more about that the historical mash-up has to offer, scope out the new behind-the-scenes featurette for the film below.

In the new featurette, you’ll see and hear from director Timur, as well as producer Tim Burton, stars Rufus Sewell, production designer Francois Audouy and producer Jim Lemley. Of course, a bunch of cool footage is interwoven throughout. Scroll below and get busy!

Additionally, from Deadline comes an ALVH introduction by Tim Burton himself. Shot in black and white, the spot was made for the same event Eric attended last week. Notably, Burton asks: “are you a patriot or a vampire?”

Starring Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Rufus Sewell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (below), Jimmi Simpson, Robin McLeavy, Alan Tudyk and Martin Csokas:

When Abraham Lincoln was nine years old, his mother died from an ailment called the “milk sickness.” Only later did he learn that his mother’s deadly affliction was actually the work of a local vampire, seeking to collect a debt owed by Lincoln’s father. When Abe learned the truth, he vowed revenge and kept one passion hidden throughout his life: the brutal elimination of all vampires. His valiant, bloody fight against the undead was all but lost to history, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon the secret journal of Abraham Lincoln.

Using the journal as his guide, Seth reconstructs Lincoln’s life story and uncovers the role vampires played in the birth, growth, and near-death of our nation. You don’t know Abe. Honest.

Abe lifts the blade June 22nd.
