Husband and wife filmmakers Michael Kyne and Bianca Allaine both have an impressive list of credits to their names, their filmographies showing that each of them have done several different kinds of jobs on multiple productions. They're currently in pre-production on a project that they're writing and producing together, a film which Kyne will direct and Allaine will star in: ZOMBINATRIX.
There doesn't appear to be an official synopsis available for the movie yet, but the title and teaser imagery give a pretty good idea of what it may be about.
Filming on the '80s-style horror/comedy is expected to occur later this year in Baltimore, New York, and Washington, D.C.
Allaine is being joined in the cast by Lenora Claire, Johnny Daggers, Mark Quinnette, Mike Hearse, Doug Sakmann, and Nadia White.
"'80s-style horror/comedy" is a description that always catches my attention, and the basic idea reminds me a bit of FRANKENHOOKER, which is a good thing. Adding to the intrigue is the fact that ZOMBINATRIX will feature stop-motion animation sequences by Webster Colcord. I look forward to learning more about this one as it heads into production.
